Dan Seif serves as Sr. Advisor to TEA, supporting the TEA team in client economic opportunity optimization.
Dan is the owner of Seif Consulting, LLC, a provider of clean energy advisory services, focusing on market analysis, project and business development, investment strategy, and power market policy support services. Dan has provided Texas-market focused consulting services since 2014, and previously led the solar program as a Principal at Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI). At RMI, Dan was the lead author on the Dept. of Energy’s distributed solar finance roadmap to 2020, project lead on the acclaimed Economics of Grid Defection report, and creator of the RMI Business Renewables Center, the largest organization focused on large-scale wind and solar power solutions for corporate power buyers with over 250 member companies.
Prior to RMI, Mr. Seif was with the private equity firm, US Renewables Group, where he was involved in new investment decisions and portfolio company management across the renewable energy technology spectrum.
Dan holds an MPA with alternative energy focus from Harvard, as well as prior engineering degrees from the University of Virginia (BS) and University of Arizona (MS).
