​Texas Energy Aggregation is sole-selected State of Texas consultant for renewable energy procurement as result of a competitive bidding process.

State agencies and universities, public schools and municipal buyers in regulated and de-regulated markets use Texas Energy Aggregation to collect bids for services based on genuine price and qualifications competition.

Procedure

Follow these simple steps:

STEP 1: Submit a Letter of Interest
  • Download, sign, and submit the LOI
  • Shows enough interest to offer you pricing, but without obligation to accept any offer
  • We contact you to schedule a consultation with an expert
​STEP 2: Submit a Letter of Authorization (LOA) for the Request of Historical Electricity Usage.
  • Download, sign, and submit the LOA
  • If you are in a non-competitive (regulated) region, provide 12 months of power bills
  • Enables indicative pricing and quantification of the savings potential; there is no obligation to move forward
STEP 3: Assess and Prioritize Opportunities 
  • We prepare a customized analysis for your organization
  • Plan for up to 60 minutes for a phone call to assess and prioritize the opportunities
  • Talk with others about TREC: the more participation, the better the price for everyone
STEP 4: Receive Competitive Prices
  • We run a competitive procurement based on price for the services you desire
  • Any bids received are non-binding (there is no obligation to contract with the service providers)
  • Review offers and consult with Texas Energy Aggregation and your decision makers about which options and strategies are best for your organization
STEP 5: Execute Contracting Documents
  • Receive the appropriate contract for signature and deadline for inclusion into the pool
  • Obtain all necessary legal review and authorization according to your entity’s bylaws before signing and returning documents
